Buongiorno, cool cats! I’m Spooky Bambina Jones-von Belcourt. Call me Spooky Bambina.
I am a solo singer-songwriter based in West Palm Beach, FL. I write and produce my own music, and my sound is best described as alternative rock, punk, and new wave. Likewise, I’m most influenced by acts like Blondie, The Shangri-Las, The Ronettes, X-Ray Spex, and Green Day. Punk rock has always been in my blood, but I also grew up on many genres of music, including pop, reggae, rock & roll, and rap/hip-hop.
My family kept collections of old cassettes passed down from their adventures across New York City, where they first lived after immigrating to the United States from Jamaica in the 1980s. One of my earliest memories is listening to some of them on my toy cassette player and being engrossed in the music itself, imagining myself playing or interacting with it in some way.
